After winning the first match against Pakistan, India locked horns with Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022. However, India won the match by 40 runs. Thus, they sealed the super four birth in this year’s competition. Both Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli scored the fifties.

Meanwhile, fans were expecting to see a big inning from KL Rahul. But, he failed again as he got out for 36 runs off 39 balls. He even failed to score a runner-ball in the match, But, after his dismissal, his former franchise, Punjab shared a witty post on him. The post got viral as KL Rahul was Punjab’s captain in the second-last edition.

Here is the shared post:

KL Rahul has not been in form since his comeback from the injury setbacks

Speaking of the shared post, the Punjab franchise shared the post with a caption: “2nd blow for (Indian Flag), KL Rahul departs after a solid 36 off 39”. However, it seemed to be more digging when they used the word ‘solid’. KL Rahul has always been criticized for his run rate in the previous editions of the Indian T20 League.

In the last few seasons, he scored a lot of runs for his franchises. But, his strike rate was always in the headlines. Meanwhile, fans did not see that coming out from Rahul’s former franchise at all. However, fans also shared some of their views regarding that.

Speaking of Rahul, KL Rahul made a comeback to the Indian team in the Zimbabwe series after a long injury setback. However, he did not score big in that series. Now, with two matches gone in the Asia Cup, he failed to score big again. Speaking of the match against Hong Kong, Virat Kohli scored 59* runs off 44 balls. Suryakumar Yadav scored 68* runs off 26 balls. India posted 192 runs. But, Hong Kong scored 152 runs only by losing five wickets only. Hence, KL Rahul might feel the heat after another failure against Hong Kong.
