Virat Kohli is now with his India teammates as they are playing the three-match ODI series against England. However, the series is scheduled to have an exciting end as both teams have won a single match so far.

But, the problem continues for Virat Kohli as he still failed to contribute with some significant runs in this series. After getting failed in the one-off Test match, the T20I series, he was expected to have a good run in this 50-over format against England. But, still, he failed to deliver as now former Pakistan player Rashid Latif raised questions to Indian selectors regarding his selection.

Virat Kohli has registered his lowest ever average in 2022 in his whole career so far

Since his introduction into the International arena, he has registered his lowest ever average (25.50) with the bat this year across all three formats. Since 2019, 77 International matches are gone where he manage to score a single century for India. Despite such a poor run of form, he is still getting picked for every match while he is available.

Now, speaking about this situation, Rashid Latif opened up on his YouTube channel ‘Caught Behind’. Speaking in a chat, he said: “India mein wo selector paida nahi Hua hai jo Virat (Kohli) ko drop kar sake,” He actually questioned the overall power of Indian selectors by stating that such selectors are yet to be born in India who can drop Virat Kohli from the squad.

Speaking about the ongoing ODI series with England, Virat missed the series opener due to a groin injury while he made a comeback for the second match. He scored only 16 runs off 25 balls in that match as India dealt with a massive loss of 100 runs to England. India got bundled out for 146 runs while chasing the target of 246 runs.  Now, he will be in action again when India will take on England on 17 July 2022, Sunday at Manchester for the series decider.
