Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and former India skipper Virat Kohli have picked their favorite footballers between greats such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Ronaldo and Messi achieved great heights in their careers just like Tendulkar and Kohli. The Portugal player has played 184 games for his national side and has scored 115 goals since making his debut in 2003.
Messi, on the other hand, the Argentina footballer has played 158 games and scored 80 goals for his national team. Talking about Tendulkar and Kohli, both have played for India and have scored 100 and 71 international centuries respectively. Both of them are the first and second highest hundred getters in international cricket. All these players have a massive fan following among sports fans.
The 48-year-old, without any hesitation, picked Messi as his favourite footballer. “Messi is more of my type”. Tendulkar told in an interview with Graham Bensinger
On the other hand, Virat Kohli picked Ronaldo as he believes that Ronaldo revolutionized the game. The 33-year-old added that him and Ronaldo have the same intensity and called him the most complete player. “Tough question. But I would say Cristiano is the most complete player that I have seen. Whether it’s the left foot, right foot, speed, or dribbling skills, he’s amazing. I have not seen a better goalscorer,” Kohli was quoted earlier.
“He revolutionized the sport and everyone followed him. His place is special, but if I had to take only one in my team who will give energy and intensity, it’s Cristiano,” Kohli added
