“I can’t stop myself to speak against injustice.” – Shahid Afridi

Now, a journalist of Pakistan shared a statement of this former Pakistan batter where he said that he will not stop himself from speaking against injustice. He also shared that in his tweets regarding Kashmir, Indians use foul language. But, he conveyed his disappointment as no fellow Pakistani celebrity comes up to support him in these tough times, that hurt him most.

Afridi said: “I can’t stop myself to speak against injustice. For example, whenever I tweet for the rights of Kashmiris, a huge number of Indians use foul language in response but what disappoints me the most is no other fellow Pakistani celebrity comes to defend me at that moment.”

Speaking about Afridi’s playing career, he played 524 international matches across all the formats of the game. He scored 11196 runs at an average of 23.92 including 11 hundred and 51 half-centuries. Along with it, he also scalped 541 wickets at an overall career economy of 4.62. He was known for his big six-hitting abilities since his debut into the International arena. He was an integral part of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup-winning squad back in 2009 in England.
