After a tough run of form for Pakistan, pressure has started to grow on the skipper Babar Azam. Pakistan hasn’t won any Test at home in the second cycle of the Test Championship.  The captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Babar Azam, has the full support of the entire team, according to batsman Shan Masood, who even stated that the players are “ready to lose their lives” for him.

Several former cricket players have recently criticised Babar and even suggested that there may be discord among the Pakistan team. Masood, though, categorically refuted any such allegations during a recent conversation, asserting that the team is stronger than ever and prepared to deliver under Babar’s guidance.

What did Shan Masood talk about Babar Azam?

Shan Masood according to Cricket Pakistan spoke to the local reporters for a media channel in Pakistan. He said, “We were ready to give our lives when Sarfaraz Ahmed was our captain, and now we are ready to give our lives for Babar Azam.”

Masood spoke about the team spirit and the morale of the squad after a poor run of form in the recent past. He said, “We watch a lot of news on criticism of the team but we don’t get bothered by them as our mutual goal is to play for our country.”

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the left-arm fast bowler, received high appreciation from Masood as well. He continued by referring to him as one of the best bowlers in the world at the moment. Masood also spoke about star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi. He said, “If you are surviving Shaheen’s first over and also hitting a six, it means that you are playing very well as he is the number one bowler in the world right now.”

Shaheen has been wowing everyone with his bowling abilities in the current Pakistan Super League (PSL), and Shoaib Akhtar has praised him for his all-around performance as the captain of Lahore Qalandars.
