 Shoaib Akhtar Reveals The Release Date Of His Biopic ‘Rawalpindi Express’

Shoaib Akhtar is known for his sheer pace bowling skills throughout his career for Pakistan. He is a former Pakistan legend with a strong follower base around the globe. Now, on 24 July 2022, he shared that a biopic on his life is coming out soon in near theaters.

The title of the movie will be ‘Rawalpindi Express – Running against the odds’ as it will come out on 16th November 2023. Akhtar made this huge announcement on his Youtube channel as he shared a 25-second motion poster. Muhhammad Faraz Qaiser will direct the film while this film is scheduled to get released next year.

Fans will be eager to see the inside stories of Shoaib Akhtar’s life

Speaking of the released video clip, a figure was seen running on rail tracks. Even, the clip gained 5000 views instantly within 20 minutes. However, it will be interesting to see which actor gets the ticket to play the lead role in the film. Meanwhile, in 2020, Shoaib Akhtar expressed that he would want the Bollywood Superstar, Salman Khan to play the lead role in his biopic if it ever gets made.

Despite getting retired from all formats of the game in 2011, Akhtar managed to maintain a solid fanbase. A few days back, he came up in support of former India skipper, Virat Kohli as many people were questioning his place in the Indian Team despite his poor run of form from 2019. Akhtar raised questions about the comments made by the former India captain, Kapil Dev on Kohli’s inclusion in the team. He also suggested Kohli for focussing on his game only by avoiding all the ongoing criticism on social media platforms.

Speaking about his career, he came into the international arena in 1997. Till 2011, he represented Pakistan in 224 international matches across all three formats. Akhtar managed to grab 444 wickets. He also holds the record for the fastest delivery bowled at 161.4 Kmph by a player in the history of cricket.
