Recently, Afghanistan left-arm pacer, Fazalhaq Farooqi’s Big Bash League contract was terminated on an immediate basis. He played for the 2015 winners, Sydney Thunders. The former U19 player replaced England’s David Willey who pulled out of the tournament last month. Farooqi played three games for the team and shone against the 2017-18 winners, Adelaide Strikers with 20/3.

Notably, the Lime Green was bowled out for a record total of 15 runs. Meanwhile, talking about the incident, it is reported by Fox Sports that the left-arm pacer harassed a female employee. This is the reason his contract is reportedly terminated. On the other hand, Cricket Australia and the Thunders haven’t revealed the details due to confidentiality clauses around the people involved.

“Breaking news Fazalhaq Farooqi, who has been such a star for the Thunder over the opening four games of the Big Bash, has been released effective immediately from his contract,” Fox Cricket reporter Drew Jones said on Friday night.

“This goes back to an incident last Thursday. They haven’t specified exactly what happened, but the code of conduct commissioner at Cricket Australia has ruled that he broke the code of conduct of Cricket Australia.

“He has been released from his contract effective immediately, so only four games in.
