In the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League, all 10 teams have a mixture of youngsters and senior pros. Just like any other season, there will be quite a few debutants in the league. They are mostly uncapped Indian players while some are from overseas. On the other hand, there are some players who might be playing the cash-rich for the last time.

These players have been one of the most successful players in the history of the league. Not to forget, they have been part of the teams that have won the title over the years at least once. However, we have filtered three players who are most likely to play their last Indian T20 League. In this listicle, we have a look at these players.

1. MS Dhoni

The most successful skipper in terms of wins in the league, Dhoni turned 41 last year. He announced last year that he wants to play in front of the Chennai crowd for the last time before hanging his boots. Notably, the last three seasons were played in limited venues to avoid COVID-19 transmission.

Now, last year, it was reported that the tournament will return to the home and away-format which was the case in the pre-pandemic era. At this point, it is highly unlikely that the pandemic will resurface as most of the world’s population has been vaccinated. Thus, Dhoni and his side, Chennai will get to play their home games in the city.
