This incident happened when India took on Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2010. In that match, India was chasing a target of 268 runs. However, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir batted well to stitch a partnership of 98 runs for the third wicket. But, Gambhir became furious when Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal appealed for a cath. The way of appealing did not please Gambhir at all. He got into an argument with Akmal during the drinks break.

Match officials and MS Dhoni stepped into the matter to lighten things up. On a talk show with Vikram Sathaye, Gambhir said: “I missed it fully. He appealed in such a way that he thought that the ball hit the bat. Then I told him that there is no point in appealing because nothing like that happened, we just got into a heated argument and then it just got from bad to worse.”
