This former Indian Kabaddi player is currently the coach of the Haryana franchise. He was also the vice-captain of India in 2007. Rakesh was part of the Indian team which won the gold medal at the 2007 World Cup at Panvel, India. He has inspired many people to take on this sport in India.
In 2011, he received the Arjuna Award from the Government of India. This award resembles his achievements in the sport. He was also the most expensive player in the first auction of the Pro Kabaddi League. During that season, he played for the Patna franchise. Later, he also represented the Mumbai franchise in the Pro Kabaddi League.
