This year’s Commonwealth Games is scheduled to get started on 28 July 2022 in Birmingham, England. This multi-sports event is going to be special this time around as women’s cricket is going to be included. Eight teams will play this year across all 16 T20 matches at Edgbaston. In 1998, the men’s competition was staged in Kuala Lumpur.
Two different groups have been divided into four teams each in it. Speaking about the participating teams, Indian women will be one of the favourites to win the gold medal this year. It will be huge if they manage to win and bring the glory in the inaugural campaign only.

This 24-year-old all-rounder of India will be crucial in this upcoming CWG event as she can help the team with her all-around abilities. Even, though she is coming off a great tour of Sri Lanka as she picked up three wickets in three T20I matches, at an economy of 6.90.
Deepti also picked up six wickets in three ODI matches at an economy of 3.80. Along with it, she also scored important 22 runs in two T20I innings while she managed only 26 runs in two ODI innings. While batting down the order, she has become a pivotal part of the playing XI of the India Women’s team.
