Argentina is one of those teams in football that gets support not just from their home fans but around the globe. There was a time when neutral fans used to support the Blue Brigade because of their fondness for the late Diego Maradona. In the current era, the same set of fans supports the two-time FIFA World Cup winners because of Lionel Messi.
Meanwhile, the former champions were playing Mexico in their must-win of their ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign. Messi’s team was humbled by 51st-ranked Saudi Arabia. In the game against their Northern American rivals, Argentian won by a convincing margin to keep themselves alive for the race to the Round of 16. After the result, their fans in Bangladesh failed to keep calm.
As the game was played between 1 AM to 2:30 AM on November 27 according to Bangladesh time, a lot of fans were present in supposedly a fan park. After the win, they celebrated as if their national team had won. This is the kind of love they have for the Argentina fans.

Talking about the game, the Southern American side, Argentina dominated the game. Their ball possession rate was 58 percent. Even though they couldn’t score in the first half, the likes of Messi and Enzo Fernandez ensured that the team won the game by 2-0. The former opened the scoring the 64th minute while Fernandez in the 87th minute ensured the team’s win.
“It was a complicated game to lift ourselves up for, because Mexico played really well,” Messi told Argentine TV. “In the first half, we played with intensity, and in the second half, we calmed down a bit and we came back to ourselves.
“We knew that today we had to win, that another World Cup started for us and we knew what to do. We cannot let our guard down now. We have all finals left to play; we cannot err. We knew that the response from our fans would be like this and I think we complied. We have been all hand in hand together for a long time.”
