After winning the first ODI against Zimbabwe, India locked horns again on 20 August 2022 at the Harare Sports Club. India was looking to win this match and bag the series with one more match to go on 22 August 2022. Meanwhile, India won the series opener by 10 wickets. However, an interesting thing happened during the second match involving Axar Patel and Ishan Kishan.

Axar Patel shared a shocking reaction to Ishan Kishan against his throw during the match.  The video got viral and surfaced all over the internet. Fans also shared their views regarding the whole incident.

Ishan Kishan immediately put his hand up for an apology to Deepak Hooda

Speaking of the video, it was an Ishan Kishan throw from deep that struck Axar  Patel. Deepak Hooda was bowling Ryan Burl who hit the ball towards Ishan in the 28th over of the Zimbabwean innings. Axar had already squatted down at the short cover. Still, the ball hit him. Meanwhile, Patel turned back and stared at Ishan. In response, Ishan Kishan immediately put his hand up for an apology.

Speaking about the match, the Indian skipper KL Rahul won the toss again. He opted for bowling once again. However, Deepak Chahar missed the playing XI as Shardul Thakur came in. Indian bowlers did wonders again as Zimbabwe got bundled out for 161 runs in 38.1 overs only. Sean Williams (42 runs off 42 balls) and Ryan Burl (39* runs off 47 balls) were the highest scorers for them. From India’s perspective, Shardul Thakur took three wickets in seven overs by conceding only 38 runs.

In reply, Indian batters faced some issues at the top. KL Rahul came out to open but failed to score big. Both Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill scored 33 runs each as India is now at 137 runs for four wickets in 21.1 overs. India requires another 25 runs off the remaining overs to seal the series.
