In the 48th game of the ongoing BBL 2022-23, Cameron Bancroft took a screamer against Adelaide Strikers. A few games ago, the former Australia player took a similar catch at long-on. However, this time around, he took pretty much the same catch at the deep midwicket boundary. In the fifth over of the game between the Scorchers and Strikers, Alex Carey played a slog sweep.
However, he failed to time the ball and was caught by flying Bancroft at deep midwicket. Leg-spinner Peter Hatzolglou was bowling the over. Meanwhile, thanks to the athleticism of Bancroft, the potential boundary turned into a wicket. The video is going viral on the internet.

Meanwhile, talking about the game, the home team, the Strikers won the toss and elected to bat first. They kept losing wickets as they were bowled out for 92 runs. Nine batters failed to cross the double-digit mark. For the defending champions, Perth, David Payne, Lance Morris, and Hatzoglou took three wickets each. In reply, the defending champions chased down the target in just 11.1 overs and lost three wickets.
With this loss, the former champions are pretty much out of the top-five race. For the unversed, the top-five teams out of eight qualify for the next round. They have only one game left against Melbourne Renegades. Now, the Blue Brigade would need for other results to go their way. On the other hand, the Orange Army is set to play their prelim game at home, besides the permutations and combinations.
