 Watch: Commentators Make A Double Meaning Joke During The 1st Test Between Sri Lanka And Pakistan

Pakistan Test side is currently busy playing the first Test match against Sri Lanka as the men in green are in contention of qualifying for the World Test Championship’s final this year. On 16 July 2022, the match got started as Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan bowlers did well as they bundled out the host on the first day of the match. 

Sri Lanka only managed to score 222 runs as Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up four wickets. In reply, Pakistan also lost two big wickets as they ended Day one with a score of 24 runs. Dinesh Chandimal continued his good form with the bat as he scored a vital 76 runs and managed to take his team to 222 runs only. Now, on Day two, Pakistan batters felt tougher to score runs as they got trapped in the spinning web of Sri Lankan spinners.

Amir Sohail shared a double-meaning joke during the 1st Test match

On Day one, when Chandimal and Dhananjaya were batting when Sri Lanka was at 76 runs for four wickets. However, a surprising incident happened then as Amir Sohail and Rusell Arnold were doing commentary in the match. 

The broadcaster was showing the average of Pakistan player Shan Masood in Sri Lanka and outside of Sri Lanka. In this country, Masood scored 138 runs in two innings, at an average of 69. While outside of this country, he scored 1240 runs in 45 innings at an average of 27.56. Speaking about this record of his, former Sri Lanka player, Russel Arnold said: “got a great average. Very high average”. In reply, Amir Sohail asked him: “You like that number, don’t you? 69?” 

Amir Sohail shared this double-meaning joke on air and fans also took that as funny as they also shared the video over Twitter.

As of now, Pakistan is now at 152 runs by losing nine wickets as only, skipper Babar Azam is fighting for them. He is batting at 59* runs while others failed to support him.
