Watch: Dinesh Karthik Finishes The Second T20I Match In Style Against Australia, Video Goes Viral

After losing the series opener in Mohali on 20 September 2022, India locked horns with the Aussies in Nagpur for the second match. The match took place in Nagpur as India were looking to equalize the series. On the other hand, Australia were looking to seal the deal with one more match to go. 

But, the Men in Blue did not disappoint their fans as India defeated Australia by six wickets. Dinesh Karthik finished the match in some style as he hit two boundaries in two balls that he faced. The video went viral as fans went crazy after seeing his finishing skills. The Indian Cricket Board also shared the same video on Twitter.

Dinesh Karthik scored 10 runs off two balls to seal the match with fours ball to spare

Speaking of the video, in the last over, India needed nine runs off six balls. Dinesh Karthik got the strike for the first time in the match. For Australia, Daniel Sams came up to bowl. But, Karthik hit a six and a four in the first two balls only. Thus, India won the match by six wickets with four balls to spare. 

The Indian Cricket Board shared the video with a caption. It read: “WHAT. A. FINISH! WHAT. A. WIN! @DineshKarthik goes 6 & 4 as #TeamIndia beat Australia in the second #INDvAUS T20I. @mastercardindia | @StarSportsIndia.” Speaking about the match, the match got reduced to eight overs per side due to a wet outfield. Rohit Sharma won the toss and he asked the Aussies to bat first.

In eight overs, Australia scored 90 runs for five wickets. Finch scored 31 runs off 15 balls while Wade scored 43* runs off 20 balls. In response, Rohit remained not out on 46 runs off 20 balls. But, the veteran wicketkeeper scored 10* runs off two balls to seal the match in style for his country. Now, both teams will be in action again on 25 September 2022 in Hyderbad for the series decider.
