Dwayne Bravo’s MI Emirates ensures Abu Dhabi Knight Riders remain winless

Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo’s side, MI Emirates ensured that Abu Dhabi Knight Riders remain winless in the tournament as of now. In the reverse fixture between the two, the Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first. They had a good start with the ball as they only conceded only 29 runs in the powerplay.

Andre Fletcher struggled his way to 22 runs off 25 balls before being caught and bowled by Sunil Narine. However, the wicket of the St Lucia player turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Ireland international Lorcan Tucker and UAE player, Muhammad Waseem put together 87 runs for the second wicket in 8.2 overs. The former decided to retire out and bring his skipper Kieron Pollard to the crease. The former West Indies skipper scored 43 off just 17 balls.

Thanks to Waseem’s half-century and Pollard’s cameo ensured that the team amasses 180/4 at the end of the innings. In reply, thanks to Bravo’s three-wicket haul, the Abu Dhabi side lost the game by 18 runs. With this, they have now lost eight games out of nine with one ending in no result. Notably, the franchise owners of these two teams also own Kolkata and Mumbai teams in the Indian T20 League. Just like the Indian T20 League, MI has asserted its dominance over the Knight Riders in the ILT20 as the won the first game between the two teams.
