Chennai franchise of the Indian T20 League is known as a home for veteran Indian cricketer Suresh Raina. He has played several brilliant match-winning knocks for them through all these years. However, things got a little bitter when the franchise decided not to pick him for the last edition of the tournament.

Since then, there were several rumours that there is a rift between this player and the franchise. But, Raina has always dismissed such rumoured rifts until now. Now, Raina shared a cute video where he was seen playing cricket with his son Rio. He shared the video on his Instagram account. But, fans loved it more when the Chennai franchise shared the same video on their official account also.

The video got viral as fans loved it and shared it all over the internet. Speaking of the video, he was seen enjoying a game of cricket with his little son Rio. He shared the video with a caption: “Like father like son @rainario23 My little one trying to work on his cute little strokes. My heart is so full #LoveYou fatherson #familygoals.”

The franchise also shared the same clip with another heartwarming caption. They wrote: “Growing up fast with Daddy lion! #Yellove #WhistlePodu”. Seeing this post, fans loved it as it sparked a possible return for this former India batter ahead of the next season.

Speaking of his career in the Indian T20 League, Raina has played 205 matches where he scored 5528 runs. He has also hit 39 fifties along with a six. With this amount of runs, he is one of the leading run-scorer in the history of this tournament. He announced his retirement from International cricket on 15 August 2022. Notably, the Chennai skipper MS Dhoni also announced his retirement on the same day. For India, Raina played 322 matches across all three formats and scored 7988 runs.
