Meanwhile, talking about the game, the Aussies won the toss and elected to bat first. However, their decision proved wrong as they lost two wickets for 22 runs. At this stage, Claire Moore and Ella Hayward stitched a partnership of 76 runs for the third wicket. Notably, the partnership was made using 79 balls that didn’t help the team’s cause. After their wickets fell, the team got into further trouble.

In the end, the unbeaten partnership of 28 runs in 12 balls between Amy Smith and skipper Rhys McKenna helped the team reach 130/5. As it turned out, the Rhys McKenna-led side didn’t put up enough runs. The Green Brigade lost the wicket of Misty Sasha on the first ball of the innings. However, the likes of Afia Prottasha and Dilara Aktar stitched a partnership of 66 runs and laid a good platform. After the duo fell, the likes of Shorna Aktar and Sumaiya Aktar took the team over the winning line. Bothe put up a partnership of 61 runs for the fourth wicket.
