The newly entered team in the Indian T20 League, Gujarat has revealed their logo ahead of the upcoming 15th season. The Ahmedabad-based franchise was bought last year by CVC Capitals Partners at an amount of 5625 crores INR. However, their road to ITL entry wasn’t smooth. The company couldn’t obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before last month due to a lack of law-related terminologies to draw an agreement.

Last month, the Board Of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) and the franchise owners finally came to an agreement. After this, the team was allowed to sign three players ahead of the auction, held last weekend. They signed Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubhman Gill ahead of the auction. Meanwhile, on February 20, they have revealed their logo on metaverse and became the first team to do so.

In the video, the meta versions of head coach Ashish Nehra, skipper Hardik Pandya, and opening batter Shubman Gill spoke about the motto of the team before the logo was unveiled.

“Our DNA is about reaching the top and always moving upwards. There is Gujarat’s kite which is not just our passion but it larger than life. Our moto is to share energy and unlimited power. We stop at nothing,” the trio said during their discussion before the logo was unveiled in some style.

The team signed some players who have played for India like pacers Mohammed Shami, Varun Aaron, wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, right-arm off-spinner Jayant Yadav, all-rounder Vijay Shankar and batter Gurkeerat Singh. Uncapped Indian players such as Abhinav Sadarangani, Rahul Tewatia, R Sai Kishore, Darshan Nalkande, Yash Dayal, Pradeep Sangwan, and B Sai Sudharshan have also been signed. Overseas players slots are filled by Matthew Wade, David Miller, Alzarri Joseph, Dominic Drakes, Noor Ahmad, Lockie Ferguson, and Jason Roy.
