It is often said in cricket that players need to be attentive as much as possible. The same goes with on-field umpires as well. In a rare incident that happened during the sixth T20I between England and Pakistan, on-field umpire Aleem Dar got hit. He was standing at the square leg position to a right-handed batter. In the last over of the powerplay during Pakistan’s innings, Haider Ali hit a pull shot.

The young prodigy timed the ball well. However, little did he know that the ball hit Dar’s hamstring. As it happened, the ball hit the elite umpire on his hamstring. The veteran umpire didn’t have enough time to evade. Thankfully, the umpire was all smiles after the incident as it didn’t hurt too much. He was seen rubbing his hamstring after being hit for a few seconds. The video has gone viral

Talking about the game. the Green Brigade entered the game leading the series by 3-2. They needed to win the game to seal the series in their favor. Also, not to forget, they had won two back-to-back games. However, things changed drastically for the home side in this game. Apart from Babar Azam’s 87 not out and Iftikhar Ahmed, none of the other batters did well.

This meant that the team was restricted to 169. In reply, the Three Lions chased down the total in just 14.3 overs. Phil Salt scored 88 not out while others chipped in with useful contributions. With this, the series is now leveled 3-3, and the winner of the last game on October 2 will decide the winner of the series. After this, Pakistan will head to New Zealand for a tri-nation series with the Kiwis and Bangladesh.

After this, the team will start their preparations for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. On the other hand, England will play a three-match T20I series against their Ashes rival, Australia. After this, both teams will play a warm-up game before their campaign starts in the showpiece event.
