India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is known for his great fielding skills. Over the years, apart from bowling and batting, he has displayed great fielding skills. Meanwhile, in the ongoing second ODI between India and New Zealand, Pandya took a great catch to send back Devon Conway. The incident happened in the 10th over of the ongoing Blackcaps innings.

When the catch was taken. it didn’t look like the all-rounder took a catch. It seemed as if he fielded the ball. However, when the fielders surrounded him and Conway started going back to the crease, everyone realized it was a wicket. The real-time replay suggested that the catch was taken in 0.5 seconds. The video of the incident has been going viral.

Talking about the game, the Men In Blue skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and forget what to do for a few seconds. However, he ended up electing to field first. The decision has proved right as the home side took five wickets inside the first 10 overs. Mohammed Shami took two wickets upfront. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Pandya took one each.

At 15/5, the Kiwis looked like registering the lowest ODI total ever. At this point, Zimbabwe has the record for the lowest team total. In 2004, they were bowled out for 35 runs against Sri Lanka. Till now, the record hasn’t been broken. Meanwhile, at 15/5, the likes of Glenn Philips and last-match centurion, Michael Bracewell stitched a partnership of 41 runs. When it looked like the visitors might make some recovery, Shami took out Bracewell with a bouncer.

Up next was Mitchell Santner, who added another 47 runs for the seventh wicket with Philips. However, once again when it looked like the partnership would be a big one. Pandya took out Santner with a slower one to end the partnership. At the time of writing, Philips was caught at the boundary while trying to slog against Washington Sundar.
