On 11 September 2022, Pakistan took on Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup. Both teams displayed good quality cricket throughout the tournament. However, India came to this tournament as one of its favourites. But, they failed to qualify after losing two matches in the ‘Super Four’ stage.

Fans were also expecting to see an Indo-Pak clash in the final. Hence, many Indian fans already booked their ticket for the final. Therefore, ahead of the final, those fans visited the Dubai stadium to watch the match. But, they received unwanted treatment as they were denied entry into the stadium for wearing the Indian jersey. The video got viral on Twitter as the Bharat Army shared it.

Here is the shared video:

Indian fans were shocked by such a treatment by the security of the Dubai stadium

Speaking of the video, an Indian fan said that the security pushed him. Even, though he denied entry into the stadium for wearing an India jersey. The security also told them one has to wear either a Pakistan jersey or a Sri Lanka jersey to enter the stadium.

The Bharat Army shared the video with a caption: “SHOCKING TREATMENT as The Bharat Army and other Indian Cricket Fans told they can not enter the stadium wearing ‘India jerseys’ #BharatArmy #PAKvSL.”

In continuation to that, they also urged the International Cricket Council and Asian Cricket Council for having investigation on that same matter. They tweeted: “The @icc & @ACCMedia1 we urge you to investigate as our members travelled all the way from India to watch the #AsiaCup2022 and have been told they can’t enter the stadium by local officials and the police! Absolutely shocking treatment! #BharatArmy #PAKvSL.”

Meanwhile, Babar Azam won the toss and he asked Sri Lanka to bat first. Sri Lanka struggled a bit early in the innings. But, they managed to score 170 runs in 20 overs by losing six wickets. Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 71* runs off 45 balls, including six fours and three sixes.
