New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson is one of the most honest players on the field. ever once he cheated in the game. Also, not to forget how gracefully he accepted the 2019 ODI World Cup final defeat. However, in the ongoing Super 12 game of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 against England, he was different for a moment or two. During the Three Lions’ innings, he claimed a false catch.
The incident happened in the last over of the powerplay. The over was bowled by Mitchell Santner. Jos Buttler tried to play an upper cut over the cover fielders. However, he couldn’t get the timing right and Williamson dived to reach the ball. At this moment, it felt like Buttler’s inning was over. However, the replays confirmed that the ball came out of his hands. Notably, Williamson had claimed the catch

At 28/2, the likes of skipper Williamson and Glenn Phillips put together 89 runs for the third wicket. However, since the former’s wicket, the team haslost three more and are struggling at 142/6 in 18.2 overs, needing 38 off just 10 balls.
