In the ongoing first Test match between Australia and South Africa, bowlers from both teams have had a field day. After winning the toss, the home side bowled out the opposition for 152 runs. For the Proteas, Kyle Verreynne was the only batter to score a half-century. On the other hand, skipper Temba Bavuma was the second-highest scorer with 38 runs with the bat.

In reply, the Kangaroos had a poor start as David Warner once again failed with the bat. However, he got a snorter of delivery from Kagiso Rabada on the first ball of the innings. The right-arm pacer bowled a chest-height short ball which wasn’t handled well by Warner. Apparently, the latter only managed to fend off the ball, and the red Kookaburra flew off to Khaya Zondo, who took a flying catch at short leg.

Talking about the game, in reply to the Proteas’s 152 all-out, the Aussies have lost five wickets for 145/5. The home side had lost three wickets for 27 runs. The likes of Steve Smith and Travis Head stitched a partnership of 117 runs. However, at the end of the day, the visitors took two wickets to sneak into the game. At stumps, Australia finished 145/5, trailing by seven runs.

After the game, Travis spoke about the game. He started by saying that it was an entertaining day of the game. He added that he tol Scott Boland to stay behind the line. Notably, Boland got out caught behind in the last over of the Day.

“Entertaining day of cricket. We fought hard, lost a couple of wickets at the end but we will take that on a very tough wicket. [What he told Boland] Get behind the line. We just wanted to make the most of it. [Pitch] Very tough, a bit up and down. We tried to be as positive as we could, and just hung in.”
