Kieron Pollard and Rilee Rossouw pull off a record chase against Peshawar Zalmi

Meanwhile, during the game, the 2017 winners, Zalmi became the first team in the history of T20 Legaues around the globe to score 240 plus in back-to-back games. In their previous game against Quetta Gladiators, they did the same. However, they went on to lose the game by a fair margin due to Jason Roy’s unreal innings. In the next game against Multan, they scored 242/6, thanks to Babar Azam (73), Saim Ayub (58), Mohammad Haris (35), Cadmore (38), and Azmatullah Omarzai (16*).

In reply, the Sultans lost the openers, Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood early. However, the likes of Kieron Pollard (52) and Rilee Rossouw (121) helped the team chase down the target. After the game, the latter was adjudged Player of the Match

On being asked about Pollard’s catch, Rille said “I laughed because I think Tom Kohler-Cadmore told cover to come in on the one and then after that it was like, ‘Back up to the ring or you’re gonna get killed here!’ He hits the ball very hard. He did a fantastic job. He took his time to get in there and once he did, he hit everything for six. So well done Polly.”
