On 14 August 2022, Southern Brave took on Oval Invincibles in the Hundred 2022. However, the defending champions were looking for a win. But, they failed to do so as Oval Invincibles managed to chase the target in just 82 balls. But, an interesting thing took place during the first innings of Southern Brave.

In the match, Southern Brave batted first. The Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was also part of the playing XI. However, he scored 37 runs off 27 balls before losing his wicket to the Pakistan youngster Mohammad Hasnain. But, Stoinis was not so pleased with the dismissal as he accused the bowlers of suspected bowling action. The video got viral and it got surfaced quickly over the internet.

Mohammad Hasnain had already been reported for illegal action during his BBL 2022 stint

Speaking of the video, Stoinis was furious after getting out to a bouncer by Mohammad Hasnain. While returning back to the pavilion, Stonis was spotted seemingly imitating Hasnain’s action to be a chucking one. However, this is not the first time when Mohammad Hasnain is getting suspected of illegal bowling action. During the last edition of the Big Bash League, he had already been reported for his bowling actions.

Speaking of the match, Southern Brave batted first and they put up a score of 137 runs in 100 balls by losing six wickets. Stoinis was the highest scorer for his team with his 37-runs knock. Hasnain took one wicket only. Reece Topley was the pick of the bowlers for the Oval Invincibles with three wickets. In reply, Will Jacks of the Oval Invincibles scored the second hundred of the tournament as they chased down the tare with 18 balls to spare. Will Jacks scored 108* runs off 48 balls, including 10 boundaries and eight sixes.

Speaking of Hasnain’s career, he played eight ODIs and 18 T20Is for Pakistan so far. He picked up 29 wickets in those matches along with some good economical performance in the shorter format of the game.
