In the game between MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals, Emirates batter Jordan Thompson pulled off a Rishabh Pant. Apparently, the former hit a one-handed six against Fred Klassen, the Netherlands international and Capitals player. The incident happened in the penultimate over of the first innings. On the first ball of the over, Klassen tried a wide yorker outside the off-stump.

In reply, the left-hander, Jordan sliced the ball towards the deep backward point. During the process, his right-hander came off the handle but he still managed to execute the shot. Five balls later, he hit a six over deep midwicket too. In the next over, he got out after scoring 16 runs in just eight deliveries. Meanwhile, the video of the one-handed six is going viral.

MI Emirates lost to Dubai Capitals in their last game before the playoffs

Meanwhile, talking about the game, MI lost to DC in the 29th and the penultimate game of the league stage. In the game, the Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first. This decision was proved right as they took four wickets for 76. For the Blue Brigade, only Lorcan Tucker and Muhammad Waseem could cross the double-digit mark.

However, skipper Nicholas Pooran and Dan Mousely put together 56 runs for the fifth wicket. The latter remained not out although it didn’t help the cause as he could only manage 31 off 35 balls. On the other hand, Pooran (43) and Thompson (16) helped the team reach 164/7. However, this wasn’t enough for the team although three catches were dropped during Dubai’s innings.

After losing 44/3, the likes of Sikander Raza and Dasun Shanaka took the team over the line with an unbeaten partnership of 122 runs. Both scored a fifty and their innings ensured that they win the game by seven wickets and finish third in the points table. On the other hand, the Capitals finished fourth although if Sharjah Warriors win their last game against Gulf Giants by a big margin, then they will dethrone the Capitals.
