In the midst of PCB reportedly threatening to pull out of the 2023 ODI World Cup, an instance of friendliness between people India and Pakistan has been spotted in Australia. In a video that is going viral, Pakistan wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan was batting and was been given the throw downs. During the practice session, an Indian fan requested him to let him bowl leg-spin.

Firstly, the opening batter ignored the requested. However, after a while, he decided to talk to the fan and asked him to visit Peshawar. Notably, Rizwan was born in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In reply, the Indian fan revealed that he is from India. The video of the conversation is going viral.

“Rizwan bhai mai daalu leg spin? (Should I bowl some leg spin for you),” says the fan in the video. Rizwan proceeds to play a shot after which he turns to him. “Leg spin? Haa karade yaha phir. Peshawar aa jao, waha pe. (Yes sure. Come to Peshawar, bowl there),” he says in a video uploaded on paktv.

“Bhai mai toh India se hu. (I am from India, brother),” the Indian fan proceeds to say with a smile. The fan goes on to say later that Rizwan is his favourite Pakistan cricketer and that he himself plays part-time as a leg spinner, which is why he was offering to bowl.

Meanwhile, India and Pakistan will start their 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign in a game against each other on October 23. The match will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This year, both teams played each other twice in the Men’s Asia Cup 2022. Both teams share the spoils in the tournament. The fans have been waiting for the game and the wait has been increasing day to day with the match day coming closer and closer.
