MS Dhoni took his retirement from International Cricket on 15th August 2021. However, he still plies his trade in the Indian T20 League. Prior to the start of the 2022 edition of the tournament, he handed over the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja.

However, midway through the season, the legendary skipper, once again, took over the reins but Chennai failed to reach the playoffs. The next edition of the Indian T20 League is likely to be the last one for the former Indian skipper.

It will be interesting to see if he leads the franchise or hands it over back to Ravindra Jadeja or someone else. MS Dhoni played 350 ODIs, 90 Tests, and 98 T20Is during his International cricket career and led India to 2007 T20 World Cup title and the 2011 World Cup title.
