In the ongoing inaugural season of the SA20 2023, Joburg Super Kings and Pretoria Capitals locked horns at the Wanderers. Ahead of the game, the JSK had lost two consecutive games. On the other hand, PC won their first two games. Meanwhile, during the game, the Capitals opener, Phil Salt tried playing the scoop over the keeper against Super Kings’s pacer Alzarri Joseph.

However, the former failed miserably as he lost his wicket. Notably, the stumps went for a cartwheel indicating sheer pace from the bowler. Meanwhile, the incident happened in the fourth over of the Pretoria’s innings. At the stage, the Blue Brigade had played three overs and scored 30 runs. The video has been going viral.

Talking about the game, the visitors, Pretoria won the toss and elected to bowl first. Eevn though they didn’t pick a wicket in the first seven overs, they managed to restrict the home side for 45 runs. In the eight over, skipper Faf du Plessis was caught at cover point by Will Jacks of Anrich Nortje. At this stage, Reeza Hendricks and Leus du Plooy stitched a partnership of 73 runs.

The latter scored 75 off just 40 balls including seven fours and five sixes. On the other hand, Reeza could score 45 off 50 balls. However, thanks to this partnership and despite the next batters failing to cross the double-digit mark, they amassed 168/6. In reply, the Wayne Parnell-led Capitals had a great start in the first three overs as they scored 30 runs. However, on the first ball of the fourth over, Joseph cleaned up Phil Salt.

After this, the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Depsite some batters contributing to the chase, they failed to avoid the six-run defeat for the team.
