Ravichandran Ashwin is currently busy playing the three-match T20I series for India at home against Australia. However, in the first two matches, he did not get any chance into the playing XI. But, Indian selectors have included him in the final squad for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup in Australia.

Now, on 24 September 2022, this star spinner shared a post on Twitter. The video was a compilation of MS Dhoni’s glove work from the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2013. All his catches and stumpings were there. Ashwin shared the video with a caption: “hands”. It seemed that Ashwin praised the glove work from the former Indian skipper during that series.

Speaking of that video, it was all the dismissals in which MS Dhoni played a part with his glove work. In that series, Ravichandran Ashwin was the highest wicket-taker. He grabbed 29 wickets in eight innings, at an economy of 2.41. Apart from all these dismissals, MS Dhoni also had a good series with the bat.

In eight innings, Dhoni scored 326 runs at an average of 81.50. He also registered his highest-ever score in the longest format. In the series opener, Dhoni scored 224 runs off 265 balls, at a strike rate of 84.52 in India’s first innings. Speaking of the series, India managed a clean sweep on Australia as they won with a margin of 4-0. Ashwin also won the player of the series award for his excellent bowling display throughout the series. 

MS Dhoni played 90 Test matches where he scored 4876 runs, at an average of 38.09. He managed to hit only six tons and 33 fifties. On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin has played 86 Test matches so far. In those games, he has taken 442 wickets, at an overall economy of 2.77. It has also included 30 five-fers and seven ten-fers for India. Even, for the Chennai franchise, both of them enjoyed a great time together in the Indian T20 League.
