India and England will lock horns for a place in the final of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Adelaide on November 10. The winner will join the winner of the New Zealand vs Pakistan semifinal to be played on November 9. Ahead of the second semifinal (IND vs ENG), both teams are preparing with intensity.

Meanwhile, a day ahead of the game, India skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid were seen talking to the pitch curator. The chat was initiated by Dravid. After a while, Sharma and the duo tried to enquire about the nitty gritty of the wicket. The leadership duo had a long chat in the video uploaded by a renowned journalist on his YouTube channel.

Talking about the Men In Blue, they would look into making a few key decisions ahead of the semis. First up will be which two out of three spin bowling options – Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Axar Patel will sit out. Chahal hasn’t played a game in the tournament so far. On the other hand, the likes of Ashwin and Patel have been doing decently but haven’t looked threatening.

On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik hasn’t looked at what he was before the tournament with the bat. The team management tried Rishabh Pant in the game against Zimbabwe. However, he couldn’t grab his opportunity with the bat. It will be interesting to see whether the team management will go with Karthik or Pant. On the other hand, England has their set of problems.

Dawid Malan sustained an injury during the game against Sri Lanka and didn’t bat at all. On the other hand, Mark Wood is also doubtful for the game. Skipper Jos Buttler has said “Both Malan and Wood are doubtful. But we would see how they are on match day. We trust our medical team. We need guys to be fit. Full faith in every member of our squad. Going back to the Pakistan tour we gave chance to a lot of youngsters and they did well. Phil Salt has a fantastic mindset, especially for T20Is. He is someone who looks to perform.”
