On 28 August 2022, India won their first match in this year’s Asia Cup against Pakistan. It was a thriller of a finish as Hardik Pandya won the match for his country. He was the player of the match for his overall performance with both the bat and the ball.

Along with him, Ravindra Jadeja performed well also. He scored 35 runs off 29 balls, at a strike rate of 120.68. However, he lost his wicket in the last over of the match. Then, India was requiring seven runs from six balls. But, a funny incident occurred during the post-match presentation. Sanjay Manjrekar came up with a funny question for Jadeja before starting the conversation. The video got viral quickly all over the internet.

Speaking of the video, after the match, Jadeja came up to the space. Then, Sanjay asked him if it was okay to talk with him or not. In response, Ravindra Jadeja shared a wide smile on his face. Manjrekar asked: “You are okay to talk to me right?”. Jadeja replied: “yeah Absolutely!!”

Speaking of their history, Sanjay Manjrekar once termed Ravindra Jadeja a “bits and pieces” player. In reply to that, during the 2019 World Cup, Jadeja scored a fifty. He celebrated pointing to the former India batter. Speaking of the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss. He opted to bowl first. Pakistan batters managed only 147 runs in 19.4 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya took four and three wickets each. In reply, Indian batters were struggling also. But, Jadeja and Pandya stitched a partnership of 52 runs to steady the ship. Hardik Pandya scored 33* runs off 17 balls. He held his nerves and finished the match in style with two balls to spare. Hardik hit a six in the third ball of that over against Mohammad Nawaz. Due to his all-around performance, Hardik Pandya won the player of the match award in this high-voltage clash.
