India annihilated South Africa in the third and last ODI of the series in Delhi on October 11. The home team restricted the Proteas for 99 all-out. Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sindar, and Shahbaz Ahmed took two wickets while Kuldeep Yadav took four. In reply, the Shikhar Dhawan-led side chase down the target after losing only three wickets. With this win, they won the series 2-1.

After the game, the team celebrated with the iconic ‘Bola Tara RaRa’ song. At the time of writing, the video has gotten 907,771 likes. This isn’t the first time the Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian team celebrated using an iconic song. A few months back, after winning the ODI series against the West Indies, the team celebrated with the iconic ‘Kaala Chashma’ song.

After the series, the players will head to their state team to play in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Notably, only Mohammed Siraj from the team might still have a chance to make it to the 20-20 World Cup 2022 team. After all, the team is looking for a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled out due to a back injury. At the moment, Mohammed Shami and Siraj are the front runners to replace Bumrah.

On the other hand, Dhawan also praised his team for doing well after trailing in the series by 0-1 after the Lucknow game. He said that the players took responsibility and showed maturity.

“I am proud of the boys, the way they played in the series. The way they carried the responsibility and showed maturity. Would like to thank the support staff. We showed a lot of character in the first game, we dropped a few catches, but we never really put pressure on ourselves. We tried to stick to the process. I am enjoying the journey, I’ll try to keep performing well for my team. The boys showed great character on such tough batting pitches. The bowlers were clinical today,” Dhawan said after the match.
