After huffing and puffing, Pakistan has finally qualified for the semis of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. After losing to Zimbabwe, they were on the brink of elimination and were getting bashed from right, left, and center. At this stage, all they needed to win their remaining games and a stroke of luck. Notably, everything fell into place for the 2009 winners and now they are in the semis.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar decided to celebrate the event with the fans. He stopped his vehicle and spoke to some of the fans outside of his car. Also, he asked them to give their opinions on the team moving forward. In the midst of this, one fan tried to mimic Bollywood Actor and different cricket teams owner, Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking about the New Zealand-Pakistan semifinal, it will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 9. Notably, both teams are playing together in a 20-20 World Cup 2022 for the first time in 15 years. In the inaugural edition played in 2007 in South Africa, the Kiwis lost to Pakistan in the semis. However, at that time, the Blackcaps had the experience of reaching and winning the final of the knockout trophy in 2000 (now the Champions Trophy).

Since the 2015 ODI World Cup, they have played four finals, including the World Test Championship 2021 final which they won. Apart from that, they also played in the final of the 2021 20-20 World Cup. The team topped the table in Group One during the Super 12 round. They might prove dangerous for the 2009 winners.
