WATCH: Star MI batter calls Arjun Tendulkar their ‘yorker king’; his response is priceless

Arjun Tendulkar and Tilak Verma are two of the most promising youngsters in the squad of Mumbai Indians (MI) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. In their recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday, MI registered a convincing victory by 14 runs to register their third consecutive victory of the season after back-to-losses.

Tilak played a wonderful cameo in the middle overs by scoring 37 runs off 17, to lead MI to a total of 192 for 5, powered by the half-century by Cameron Green. After that, When SRH required 20 runs off the last over with 1 wicket left, Arjun bowled brilliantly with exact yorkers and also took his first wicket in IPL by dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar to finish things off. SRH were bowled out for 178 runs in 19.5 overs.

Both the youngsters got indulged in a fun conversation ahead of their next game against Punjab Kings. In a video posted by MI on their social media, Tilak turned out to be a vlogger and called Arjun a ‘yorker king’ and also asked about his experience of handling the pressure in the last over.

‘Obviously 20 runs we should defend’ – Arjun

“You’re the yorker king in our team, so how was the pressure in the last over while they were chasing 20 runs,” Tilak asked Arjun.

Replying to Tilak’s question, Arjun said he didn’t felt much pressure as 20 runs should defended in the last over. He also added that he had confidence on his practice.

“Not much pressure because obviously 20 runs we should defend. I had practiced so much and I was confident,” Arjun replied.

Tilak also asked Arjun about the dinner at his house as the young MI batter recently invited the players and support staff from the team for dinner at his residence. Along with Arjun, his father Sachin Tendulkar, Mi skipper Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Piyush Chawla and Dewald Brevis were also present.

“How was the dinner at my home?” Tilak asked Arjun.

“Oh, unbelievable food, I am a big foodie, I love my Biryani, my mutton, chicken, all that stuff. And thanks to you, your dad and your coach Salam sir for making. Thanks to all of them,” Arjun replied.
