Star Pakistani pacer Ishanullah Khan receives grand reception at his native village after giving a heroic performance in Pakistan Super League season 8. Ishanullah represented Multan Sultans in the eighth edition of PSL and led his team to the finals of the tournament. Notably, in the finals, Mohammad Rizwan-led Sultans lost to Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars by just 1 run.

Ishanullah had been phenomenal throughout the tournament as he clinched 22 wickets to become second highest wicket-taker. Notably, the 20-year-old pacer continuously bowls with the speed of 150KMPH and has dismissed the likes of Babar Azam, Jason Roy, etc. Although, for his match-winning performances he was named player of the tournament.

Ishanullah becomes the first emerging player to win the Player of the tournament award in the history of the Pakistan Super League. He was picked by Multan Sultans from the emerging player category during the player’s auction. Although coming back to his home, Ishanullah received a glorious welcome from his fans, friends, and family members.

Ishanullah, who hails from a small village in Swat valley, has also clinched the best bowler award of season 8 after he bagged 22 wickets with an impressive economy rate of less than 8. After getting these awards Ishanullah said, “Thanks to Almighty Allah for this award. I would like to dedicate this award to my father who supported me throughout my journey.”

Ishanullah Khan receives a maiden national call

With his impressive performance in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League 8, Ishanullah received his maiden call for the national team. He will be playing against Afghanistan in the upcoming three-match T20I series. Ishanullah will look to continue his form and make his place in the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup.

Notably, earlier during the PSL 8, Ishanuallah expressed his desire to represent Pakistan in the World Cup. He also said that he wants to debut against India and dismiss Virat Kohli. After a game, Ishanullah said, “I want to make my debut against India in the World Cup and take a five-wicket haul. I want to help Pakistan win, it would give me immense happiness.”
