On 4 December 2022, team India began the three-match ODI series in Bangladesh. Keeping the 2023 World Cup in mind, this series is going to be crucial for both teams. After the 20-20 World Cup, all senior players like Virat Kohli took a rest from the recently concluded New Zealand tour.

Now, for this series, they have come back to the squad. Speaking of the match, Bangladesh won the toss and asked India to bat first. However, Indian batters failed to score a big total as they got bundled out for 186 runs in 41.2 overs. Virat Kohli also failed to score while batting. But, he came up with a fantastic catch while fielding, and the video has now gone viral.

Virat Kohli scored only nine runs off 15 balls against Bangladesh in the first ODI

Speaking of the video, the incident took place in the 24th over of Bangladesh’s innings. Shakib Al Hasan was batting while Washington Sundar came up to bowl in that over. In the third delivery of that over, Sundar bowled a short ball which Shakib tried to drive on the up. But, Virat Kohli was at the extra cover region.

He leaped to his right and pulled off a one-sided stunner. Even, Kohli came up with a surprised expression after completing that catch. Thus, Shakib Al Hasan’s innings came to an end after he scored 29 runs off 38 balls, including three fours.

Speaking of the match, India managed only 186 runs in 41.2 overs while batting first. Apart from KL Rahul, no batters managed to score big. Virat Kohli scored only nine runs off 15 balls, including one four. KL Rahul scored 73 runs off 70 balls, including five fours and four sixes. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan took five wickets for 36 runs in his 10 overs. In reply, Bangladesh were in a spot of trouble as they scored 97 runs for four wickets in 24 overs. Still, they required 90 runs in 26 overs to take a lead in this series.
