Over the years, India leggie Yuzvendra Chahal is famous for being notorious on and off the field. His shenanigans have been loved and appreciated by many. In the ongoing game against South Africa, he showcased his notorious side once again. However, this time around, he had fun with the on-field umpires. The incident happened during an untimely break in the Indian innings.

In the third over of the innings, India’s vice-captain KL Rahul got hit on the box facing Wayne Parnell. The right-hander was given medical attention by the medical team and some players came out with drinks. One of them was none other than Chahal. After serving the drinks, the leg-spinner sarcastically threatened to kick one of the umpires on his crotch area.

Talking about the game, the Proteas dominated most part of the Indian innings. Lungi Ngidi took four wickets to break the back of India’s batting and reduced them to 49/5 with Anrich Nortje taking one wicket. Suryakumar Yadav came to the rescue and scored 68 off just 40 balls including six fours and three sixes. He helped his side reach a fighting total of 133/9 at the end of the innings.

For the Proteas, Wayne Parnell took three wickets apart from Lungi’s four-wicket haul and Nortje’s one wicket. In reply, Indian bowlers are ready to give up yet. Arshdeep Singh has taken two wickets while Shami has taken one. At the time of writing, the Temba Bavuma-led side had scored 35/3 in 8.4 overs, needing another 99 runs in 68 balls. India and Pakistan fans would love to see the 2007 winners win the game.

If India wins this, they would come closer to the semis spot and keep Pakistan’s semis hopes alive. On the other hand, Chahal might not play a single game in the tournament. Currently, Ravichandran Ashwin has been doing well and it doesn’t seem a need to make a change in the spin bowling department as of now.
