’10 wickets ki haar se Bach Gaye, Good night’ – Fans react as South Africa beat India by eight wickets to level ODI series 1-1

After losing the first ODI against India, South Africa needed to win the second match to level the series. In the first game, the home team was bowled out for 116 runs with Arshdeep Singh taking his maiden five-wicket haul. On the other hand, Avesh Khan took four and Kuldeep Yadav one. In the end, the Men In Blue won the game by eight wickets.

Meanwhile, in this game, unlike the first game, the Proteas won the toss and chose to bowl this time around. They had a good start as they took two wickets for 47 runs. The South African pacers made the most of the conditions. However, when the likes of skipper KL Rahul and Sai Sudarshan put together 68 runs, the team looked in control. Both batters scored a fifty each but failed to go further.

From 114/2, the team went to 211 all-out with no other batter contributing much to the cause. For the home side, Nandre Burger took three wickets while Beuran Hendricks and Keshav Maharaj took two each. Apart from them, Lizzad Williams and skipper Aiden Markram took one each.

Arshdeep Singh removed the latter after he scored 52 off 81 balls. On the other hand, Zorzi remained unbeaten on 119 runs and scored his maiden ODI hundred. Before the end of the game, Rinku Singh took his maiden wicket but the South Africans won the game by eight wickets.
