After winning the 50-over World Cup in 2019, England Team will look to defend the title in 2023 also. However, for that, Team is getting prepared and in the recently concluded three-match series, England thrashed the Netherlands with a margin of 3-0.

However, as per reports, Eoin Morgan is most likely to retire from the International cricket in the coming week. Jos Buttler is known for his explosive batting skills as he had been an integral part of the ODI squad for England. Till now, he played 151 ODI matches where he scored 4120 runs at an average of 41.20.
In this last series also, he was the highest run-scorer as he scored 248 runs in just two innings. He scored an unbeaten 162 runs as he finished the series with an overall strike rate of 187.50. Hence, after Morgan’s retirement, Jos Buttler will be the frontrunner for that vacant position due to his experience and impact on the team.
