David Warner sends special message in Bengali ahead of clash against Kolkata
Australian batter, David Warner played his first match for Delhi in the Indian T20 League 2022 against Lucknow on 7th April 2022. However, the southpaw didn’t have a great outing with the bat. He struggled to get the timing right and could only manage to score 4 runs in 12 deliveries. Delhi managed a below-par 149-run total in that game and eventually lost the game by 6 wickets.
After playing for Hyderabad for a number of years, Warner moved to Delhi ahead of a new season in the Indian T20 League 2022. For the unversed, he currently has the most number of runs as an overseas batter in the league. His love for India and South Indian movies isn’t a hidden fact to his fans.
Ahead of Delhi’s next game against Kolkata, Delhi franchise uploaded a video on their Instagram handle, where he could be seen speaking in Bengali. “Hello buddy, how are you? Kemon Acho? Ammi tuma ke bhalo bhashi (how are you, I like you),” Warner can be heard saying in the video.
“A message from @davidwarner31 for fans on both sides. Looking forward to a great game, @kkriders,” the franchise wrote as the caption.

Meanwhile, the game between Delhi and Kolkata has already begun. David Warner and Prithvi Shaw gave the team a sensational start. Shaw scored his second half-century in a row, while Warner also notched his first fifty of this season.
David Warner played an outstanding knock of 61 runs in 45 balls, a knock which was laced with 6 fours and 2 sixes. His knock helped the team reach a mammoth 215-run total in the first innings. It will be interesting if they could defend it against a powerful batting line of Kolkata.
Delhi have had a topsy-turvy start so far in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League. In 3 matches, they have only managed to secure a single win. Delhi would be eager to win the ongoing match against Kolkata.
