Ahead of the last season, Kylian Mbappe was reportedly unhappy with his current club, Paris Saint-Germain. It looked certain that he will shift his base to Real Madrid. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner went on to sign a new contract with the same team. The Frenchman was signed for more than 10 billion $. Meanwhile, Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez opened up on the France international.

The former said that he doesn’t read about Kylian anymore. Perez stated that any news related to Kylian Mbappe doesn’t bore him but he doesn’t want to anymore. Perez referred to the reports about Mbappe’s unhappiness with the PSG. He was also present in the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

“It’s not that it bores me — I don’t even read about it now,” Perez told radio station Cadena Ser early on Tuesday after the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.

Real Madrid forwards are doing well: Florentino Perez

On the other hand, the Real Madrid chief also spoke about his current pool of players. While acknowledging the fact that anything can happen in future, the Madrid chief said that his forward are doing well. He also spoke about Karim Benzama, who won the Ballon d’Or award early in the day.

“You don’t know what can happen in the future, but the forwards at Real Madrid are progressing at a spectacular rate, year by year,” continued Perez.

“Rodrygo and Vinicius are two great players, young, they have their lives in front of them to prosper. Madrid are only focused on the players that we have. And we love them.”

“He’s been the best player for the last three or four years. He’s a number nine that’s a mix of Ronaldo Nazario and Zinedine Zidane. He does two jobs at once, pulling the strings in attack like Zidane and he shoots like Ronaldo did.”
