Watch: Fans visit Imran Khan, wishing him for his speedy recovery
Recently, former Pakistan skipper and Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot in the leg during a political rally. Notably, an attempt on his life was made allegedly by a rival political party. However, thanks to a good Samaritan in the crowd, his life was saved as the assailant could only shoot his leg. After the incident, he was rushed to a hospital and taking treatment.
Meanwhile, in a video going viral, Khan’s supporters came to meet him. In the video, an old lady was giving her blessings. Also, the other relatives who came along with her were introduced to the 1992 World Cup winner. The former all-rounder could be heard speaking in Punjabi to his visitors. Meanwhile, he has been strapped with plaster, and looks like he will take some time before he stands up on his feet.

After the attack, the PTI chief accused the quite a few people for an assassination attempt on him. He accused the likes of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Maj Gen Faisal Naseer, a top ISI name. In reaction to this, ISI has released a press release and said that the allegations are baseless. They said that Khan’s statements are condemnable and regrettable.
“The baseless allegations hurled at the institution/officials today are highly regrettable and strongly condemned. No one will be allowed to defame the institution or its soldiers with impunity,” the ISI said.
“The government of Pakistan has been requested to investigate the matter and initiate legal action against those responsible for defamation and false accusations against the institution and its officials without any evidence whatsoever,” the ISI said.
Also, current PM of Pakistan has said that he will resign if the allegations are true.
