In the ongoing Women’s Super Smash 2022-23, Laura Harris has produced one of the funniest dives. The incident happened during the game between Wellington and Canterbury on January 23. In the game, the visitors, Canterbury won the toss and elected to bowl first. The home team, Wellington had a decent start as they scored 104/3 in 13 overs. The top three batters failed to convert their starts albeit a slow one.

Meanwhile, in the 15th over of the innings, New Zealand international Laura Harris and Charli Knott had a misunderstanding over an extra run. The former played a lofted straight drive off Sarah Asmussen. Knott played it straight but her shot was stopped by a long-on fielder. The latter got rid of the ball. After this, Harris, who was looking for a second, needed to head back to save her wicket.

Despite losing her bat and the balance, she made it with Asmussen losing the ball and throwing the ball late.

Talking about the game, the pair of Knott and Harris took the Women In Black to 208/4 after their side was tottering at 104/3 in 13 overs. In the last seven overs, the team amassed 104 runs. Knott scored 51 off just 24 balls including eight fours before being cleaned up by Gabby Sullivan. On the other hand, Harris made the opposition pay for the missed run-out as she scored 67 off just 27 balls.

This includes four sixes and nine fours. In reply, the visitors were bowled out for 94 runs, losing the game by 114 runs. Eight of their batters failed to cross the double-digit mark including four players getting out on ducks. For the home team, Caitlin King took three wickets while Nicole Baird took two. On the other hand, Maneka Singh, Xara Jetly, Leigh Kasperek, and Knott took one each.
