AB de Villiers predicts the number of runs Virat Kohli will score in Indian T20 League 2022
Former South Africa and Bangalore player AB de Villers retired from all forms of cricket after the 2021 edition of the Indian T20 League. However, De Villiers is still an adherent Bangalore supporter. The former South Africa skipper shares a great bond with Virat Kohli and recently went on to predict the number of runs Kohli will score in this year’s Indian T20 League.
“Everyone knows about Faf du Plessis coming in as captain. I think the most exciting thing for me is Virat not being captain and releasing a bit of the pressure, really just going out there and freeing up
“I am expecting a very big season from Virat. I am thinking 600+ runs from him this year,” said AB de Villiers on the YouTube channel ‘VUSport Streaming’.
Meanwhile, CricTracker posted an image of Virat Kohli with De Villiers’ prediction about Kohli on their official Twitter account. “How many runs will Virat Kohli score in the ITL 2022?” read the caption. De Villiers took to Twitter and replied ‘600 plus’.
Meanwhile, Kohli has started the tournament on a decent note. He scored 41 runs against Punjab on March 27. De Villiers was one of the main pillars of the Bangalore franchise till the time he played for the team. He along with Virat Kohli was involved in many memorable partnerships and this is where their friendship also grew stronger.

Talking about the ongoing league, Bangalore will face two-time winners, Kolkata on March 30 at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Both teams had contrasting starts to their campaign. The Men In Purple and Gold beat defending champions Chennai by six wickets in the opening game of the 15th season. On the other hand, the three-time finalists lost to Punjab by six wickets in the third game of the cash-rich league.
The last time both these teams played against each other, Kolkata beat Bangalore in the Eliminator of the 2021 edition to progress to the final.
