In the ongoing Pakistan Premier League (PSL), Babar Azam has scored an unbeaten 111-run against Islamabad United. The knock came in just 63 balls along with 14 boundaries and two sixes. Babar’s celebration after the inning was quite evident as to how important that century was to him. After taking into consideration Mohammed Hafeez’s words and promoting himself to the top-order, Babar’s style of play has completely changed for the good.

In the match against Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi scored 201 runs at the loss of five wickets. While batting with Saim Ayub (38), Babar made a brilliant partnership of 77 runs. The opening partnership set the base for the team as they went on to put a massive target on the board. Babar’s second fifty came in just 20 balls as he changed gears with ease, while his first fifty arrived slowly. His effortless batting gave the viewers a good time while watching the match.

For the United, skipper Shadab Khan was the highest wicket-taker with two wickets while Naseem Shah and Salman Agha got one wicket each. Since the pitch was really nice, it became easier for the batters to bat and score more runs. If the United batters play responsibly, they might be able to chase down the score.

‘Did get confidence from the previous game’ – Saim Ayub opens up about his batting

After giving a perfect start to the game, Saim Ayub was dismissed on 38 runs by Salman Agha in the ongoing PSL 2024 match against Islamabad United. Moreover, the batter mentioned his confidence levels were high after his previous knock and he would like to keep the momentum going for the upcoming matches.

Agha, after the innings, said, “Did get confidence from the previous game. It’s the start of the tournament, I want to carry the momentum. Want to congratulate Babar, that’s what we expect from him. He’s a superstar. We keep learning from him. He leads from the front. We keep talking about conditions and situations. He guides me in the middle.”
