Afghanistan star player joins Lahore Qalandars for ongoing PSL 8
Afghanistan leg-spinner, Rashid Khan has joined the Lahore Qalandars side for the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League. He was missing the first two games due to personal reasons. However, Khan has joined the defending champions, who started their ongoing campaign with a win but suffered a loss in their last game. Meanwhile, the franchise posted a picture of Khan checking into the team’s hotel.
It will be a big boost for the team as their left-arm spinner from England, Liam Dawson has been ruled out of the tournament. Meanwhile, the team will play their next game against the 2019 winners, Quetta Gladiators on February 21. The former champions have played three games and have lost two. Coming back to the Qalandars, hours before welcoming the leggie, they post a video of his bowling from the previous season.

Rashid Khan has been part of the Lahore Qalandars setup from 2021
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan player has been part of the team since PSL 6 (2021). Before this, he played for the Gladiators. Last year, he played for the now-defending champions for most parts of the season. When the knockouts were coming close, he had to leave the side for a series in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the Punjab-based side managed to win their maiden title after a wait of six years. With this, all teams in the competition have won the PSL title at least once with Islamabad United winning it twice in 2016 and 2018. Apart from them, all the teams have won the title only once with the eighth season in progress.
