India is shining bright in the 19th edition of the Asian games 2023 with 35 medals in the pocket. The tournament is being conducted in Hangzhou, China. Till now India has won 9 gold medals, and 13 silver and bronze medals each across multiple Sports.
The shooters have majorly paved the way for India to bring in the laurels as they have led the country to win 19 medals in the continental tournament. The Indian shooters have won 6 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 5 bronze medals in the tournament.
The other three gold medals for India came through the women’s cricket team, equestrian and tennis. The game of rowing has landed India the most medals after shooting, as the players have won two silver and three bronze medals in the sport.
Indian athletes have brought in the gold medal laurel in the following fields – 10m Air Pistol Team Men, 10m Air Rifle Team Men, 50m Rifle 3 Positions Team Men, 10m Air Pistol Women, 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women, 25m Pistol Team, Women’s Cricket, Equestrian Dressage Team and Tennis Mixed Doubles.

While participating in different rounds of shooting, the Indian athletes have won multiple medals across different levels of the sport. Like the pistol shooter Esha Singh has won 4 medals for India (1 Gold and 3 Silver) just like Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar has has also brought 4 medals – 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. While the Rifle shooter Ashi Chouksey has won 3 medals – 2 silver and 1 bronze. Palak Gulia has won 1 gold & 1 Silver, Sift Kaur Samra has also won 1 gold and 1 silver, while Anush Agarwalla 1 gold & 1 bronze medal each.
On the other hand, Ashish has also won 1 silver & 1 bronze just like Punit Kumar has also won 1 silver & 1 bronze medal. Other medal winners include – Anant Jeet Singh Naruka, Ramita Jindal, Bheem Singh and Jaswinder Singh who have won 1 silver & 1 bronze medal while representing India in the Asian Games 2023 each respectively.
